About the Author

Okay. First post. This is always a hard one. You don't know me, and I don't know you. So here's a post to alleviate that.

1. My Name.

I'm Jay Justus. That's pretty simple and straightforward.

2. A Few Things That Make Me, Well, Me.

I guess that that's a pretty cliche header, but you need to know these things if I want you to like a blog that's going to be about my life.

I'm a pretty stubborn person. I don't do well with being told what to do and I know that that's one of my biggest issues. Although, I love when people tell me what to do. I hate making decisions, and I genuinely thrive off of other people doing it for me.

My life is up in the air right now. I have no idea what is going on and I am kind of glad about it. I get to figure it out as I go.

Blogging is still new to me, so I'm going to do my best but I am sure that I will fail on occasion. I'm not sure if that means that I'll be boring or if that means that I'll forget to upload for a week straight. I guess this means that you guys get to take that risk with me.

3. LGBT???

This blog is genuinely for me to document my life during the hardest period of it. It is very important to note that I am not straight, I am not cisgendered, and I don't really apply any labels to myself (none of them fit quite right).

4. What am I Even Doing Here?

I am using this platform to support myself and other members of the LGBT community as we hit a very trying time. I live in the USA and with the new Trump Administration I know that we are all a little (a lot) scared.

In the months and years to come I am hoping that we can all find love and support within each other. I hope that you can all find love and support within me as I document what it is like to live in a fascist home, hide who I am, and also be out and proud.

This is meant to be a happy place, but also a place for me to document my struggles in this world. I hope that I can connect with a few people and help some feel less alone in their hardship.

5. Thank You

Thank you for coming on this journey with me. Don't ever forget that we are strong together.
